Anti-Aging Dermocapsule™ Serum
 |
What gives the dermocapsule its orange color?
We don’t use any unnatural dyes in our skincare products. Each dermocapsule is composed of a natural substance to give it a unique color. The dermocapsules in our Anti-Aging Dermocapsule Serum are made up of astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is responsible for the reddish color in shrimp, salmon, and some algae when cooked. This carotenoid known as a “super vitamin” for its excellent antioxidant capabilities helps prevent lining caused by UV damage and acts as an anti-inflammatory.

Why is Anti-Aging Dermocapsule™ Serum so effective?
We understand skin and know how important it is to provide you with the moisturizing ingredients, vitamins, and antioxidants necessary to neutralize free radicals and protect cellular proteins and lipids from damage. We tap into nature and science to include the most effective ingredients to address core issues behind your skin concerns, and utilize a unique delivery system that allows the ingredients to penetrate deeper into your skin. This combination of quality ingredients and a targeted delivery system allows us to treat your concerns on the outer most layers, and help address natural aging processes and repair damage in deeper layers of your skin.
What is Coenzyme Q10 and how does it help reverse skin aging?
Co Q10 is a very powerful antioxidant and is required in cell energy production. It's produced naturally, converting ninety-five percent of our body's energy, and supports cell respiration and regeneration. Unfortunately it diminishes with age, reducing our skin's ability to fight off new damage and repair existing damage. Just as our body has less energy the older we are, our skin functions the same way. As the largest organ and our body's first line of defense against outside intruders, our skin requires a lot of energy to protect us against damaging external elements while repairing the damage we've already done. We've incorporated Co Q10 into our Anti-Aging Treatment Mask to help your body's overworked protective system keep pace with new damage so it can repair existing damage and protect against future damage. We recommend you complement the Anti-Aging Dermocapsule™ Serum with our treatment mask at least once a week for the best results.
Is skin's aging inevitable?
Some aging of our skin is inevitable, but the majority of the damage we do to our skin comes from internal and external elements that can be partially controlled. Our skin is an amazing self-renewing organ. From birth it continually repairs itself, replaces lost cells and damaged proteins and DNA.
So if skin is self-renewing, why do we start to see wrinkles, sagging, and dull lifeless skin as we get older? Although the answer to this question is complex, the simplest response is that the aging process is a combination of free radical damage and a slower repair process. As cells begin to age, they stop performing as they did when we were younger. They literally run low on energy, which means slower cell turnover, a moisture barrier with “holes”, and free radicals that are left to run rampant in our skin and damage our cells' DNA. Free radical damage is inevitable and natural. Our bodies are designed to fight their aging affects, but they become overworked and overwhelmed with constant exposure to internal and external elements such as stress, poor nutrition, pollution, and UV exposure.
We recommend a lifestyle that promotes healthy living and addresses these internal and external elements, but also understand that some damage is inevitable regardless of your best intentions to avoid pollution, eat healthy, and live a stress free life. Our Anti-Aging Dermocapsule™ Serum and Anti-Aging Treatment Mask are formulated with powerful anti-oxidants to neutralize the oxidative damage to your cells, revive cells energy so skin can function properly, and help stimulate natural collagen production to soften lines and wrinkles.
What are antioxidants and why are they so important to younger healthy looking skin?
Antioxidants reduce free radical damage and inflammation. So what is a free radical? Free radicals are molecules that assault and break down skin's support structure (collagen and elastin fibers) and cell's DNA. A commonly used example to describe free radical damage and oxidative stress is to imagine what an apple looks like after it has been cut open and exposed to oxygen. It turns brown as a result of oxidation. When an atom or ion loses an electron, it becomes a free radical. In an effort to regain the missing electron, it destroys healthy cells to steal their electrons. An antioxidant replaces the missing electron in the free radical molecule or ion and prevents it from destroying healthy cells. Poor diet (greasy foods), stress, pollution, and UV light all create free radicals and age your skin. You can't completely eliminate your exposure, but with the help of our antioxidant rich serums and treatment masks you can prevent many of their damaging effects.
Can I prevent my skin from aging or reverse damage I've already done?
Yes and no. Your skin is equipped with a natural repair mechanism that fights damaging external elements such as pollution and UV radiation, and internal elements such as stress and nutritional deficiencies. Because these repair mechanisms diminish over time as UV exposure, dehydration, diet, and irritation take their toll, some aging is inevitable. Reversing some of the damage however is possible. You may not be able to completely prevent a wrinkle, but with the proper care they can appear less noticeable. Avoiding exposure to harmful elements, counteracting inevitable damage with high quality skin care products, and following a consistent routine is key to a more youthful and healthy appearance. Our Anti-Aging Dermocapsule™ Serum and Anti-Aging Treatment Mask don't just treat the surface of your skin, but are designed to address the root of the problem. We've added antioxidants to counteract free radical damage, and include ingredients that improve skin's natural repair cycle by stimulating collagen production, and improve skin's ability to hold moisture and prevent dehydration.
Can my skin look better now than it did 15 or 20 years ago?
Absolutely. Skin regenerates and just as quickly as negative behaviors or factors can harm skin, consistent and appropriate care can transform damaged tissue. We recommend two important steps to reversing years of damage. The first is to avoid exposing your skin to negative factors such as excessive UV, first and second-hand smoke, pollution, excess sugars and alcohol, and psychological stress (all which are oxidative stressors that damage skin's DNA). The second is to protect your skin from those negative factors you can't completely avoid. We understand it's impossible to eliminate all of these harmful elements, but our Anti-Aging Dermocapsule™ Serum can help. Astaxanthin contains 100-500 times the antioxidant capacity of vitamin E and works overtime to prevent oxidative stressors from becoming visible damage. For maximum benefits add our serum to your daily beauty regime. You'll also receive the same benefits with our weekly spa treatment. Commit to at least one day a week where you de-stress with our Anti-Aging Treatment Mask and follow our “me-time” advice and you'll make great strides to looking and feeling younger.
When should I start using anti-aging products?
There isn't a specific age to start using anti-aging products. A good rule of thumb is to begin incorporating these products into your routine when you notice your skin starts appearing dull. You'll experience surface dehydration, and uneven skin tone, and fine lines begin to appear. If you keep your collagen and elastin strong and protected, you'll stay younger looking much longer. Our anti-aging treatments contain strong antioxidants to reduce oxidative damage by neutralizing skin fiber destroying free radicals and protecting your skin's natural repair mechanisms.
Why do I need topical antioxidants if I eat antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables?
As part of the overall wellness we promote, we encourage you to continue to eat deep green vegetables and fruits with powerful antioxidants to help maintain a healthy appearance from the inside out. But ingesting antioxidants isn't enough for protecting the outermost layers of your skin from harmful external elements. Only a small amount of nutrients from antioxidant rich foods make it to the skin because they are distributed throughout the entire body, and blood doesn't flow to the outermost layer of tissue, making it virtually impossible to consume enough antioxidants to get the equivalent skin effect of our antioxidant rich topical serums and treatment masks.

Clarifying Dermocapsule™ Serum
 |
What gives the dermocapsule its green color?
We don’t use any unnatural dyes in our skincare products. Each dermocapsule is composed of a natural substance to give it a unique color. The dermocapsules in our Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum are made up of kalanchoe spathulata extract. Kalanchoe spathulata ext. is a natural botanical extract with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that protects skin from UV damage and improves elasticity and skin smoothness.
What makes your Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum so effective?
We understand skin and know how important it is to provide you with a product that will address all of your oily skin needs. We tap into nature and science to include the most effective ingredients to address core issues behind your skin concerns, while utilizing a unique delivery system that allows the ingredients to penetrate deeper into your skin. This combination of quality ingredients and a targeted delivery system allows us to treat your concerns on the outermost layers, and help your skin function properly in deeper layers. Daily use of our serum will keep your skin healthy, reduce shine, and help prevent breakouts from clogged pores.
How should I best care for my oily skin?
Your best avenue of care is consistent use of gentle, yet effective, oil-free products that address the underlying problem. Many products for oily skin contain alcohol and are designed to remove surface oils only. To get to the core of the problem it's important to control the production of excess oil and not just continually strip surface oils after they have formed. In fact, stripping surface oils doesn't correct the problem, and can often aggravate it. Oily skin actually lacks moisture to keep cells plump and hydrated. Oil glands over compensate for this moisture deficit. If you're drying out the surface of your skin, most likely your oil glands are kicking into high gear and producing more oil. Our Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum and Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask contain ingredients to reduce surface oils, and prevent overactive oil glands by maintaining moisture in the skin to prevent over-drying.
Why should I hydrate my oily skin?
If you're afraid to moisturize your oily skin because you think it might appear greasier, you're among the millions with this same misconception. The truth is if you use the right moisturizing products your skin will actually look healthier. Hydrating means bringing water, not oil, back into the skin. To create perfectly healthy balanced skin, you need to reduce excess oil production and add water hydration. Use our Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum and Moisturizing Treatment Mask for oil-free hydration. We've infused our moisturizing treatment line with humectants to prevent dehydration, and help keep your skin from overcompensating by over producing oils to prevent moisture loss. Humectants keep the keratin cells from getting dried out (which contributes to flaking), but won't trigger breakouts. Layer the Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum over the Clarifying Oil-Free Dermocapsule Serum morning and night and add the Moisturizing Treatment Mask to your weekly spa regime as needed to balance your skin out and keep it smooth and shine free.
Why is my oily skin more prone to breakouts?
Our skin contains millions of pores that open and close and expel the body's waste material. It's a delicate balancing act that when disturbed, pores stop functioning correctly and get “infected”. Surface acne develops under specific conditions. For a blemish to form your skin needs oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells. To reduce breakouts, it's important to control excessive oil production, limit bacteria in the skin, and exfoliate to prevent oil and bacteria from clogging pores. Our Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum and Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask are designed to prevent this breeding ground for blemishes by banishing bacteria, exfoliating dead skin cells, and absorbing surface oils while reducing your skin's overall oil production.
Will your products dry out or irritate my skin?
No. We've taken special care to add anti-irritants and anti-inflammatories to our products to prevent irritation to already inflamed and agitated skin.
How long before I see results?
You will notice less surface oil after a few days of recommended usage of our serum and treatment mask, but a blemish doesn't form overnight but rather over weeks. Depending on the severity of your breakouts, expect to see diminished and fewer breakouts within two-three weeks. Our clarifying treatment line is especially recommended for oily skin to prevent new breakouts from forming. For the best results, use the Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum morning and night daily and apply the Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask 2-3 times per week.
My skin looks flakey and dry but I still get oily and experience breakouts. Why?
Oily skin is often mistaken for dry skin because it has the characteristics of both. When dry flakey skin is visible and skin feels tight after it's washed, it can easily be confused for a dry skin type. However, dry skin does not produce excess oil. In fact, it under produces oil. If you're noticing shine throughout the day or have greasy-feeling skin, regardless of flakes, your skin is oily. So why does it appear dry? There are a few reasons. First, we constantly shed dead skin cells, and without the proper exfoliation those rough moisture depleted cells sit on top of the surface of our skin and make it appear dry. If you're only experiencing taut feeling skin after it's been cleansed or toned, you're probably using products that are too harsh and are stripping surface oils without getting to the heart of the problem. Our Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum and Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask are gentle, won't strip surface oils, and contain ingredients designed specifically to eliminate a rough flakey appearance while regulating natural oil production.
Doesn't exfoliation make breakouts worse?
There are two types of exfoliation: manual and chemical. Manual exfoliation consists of physical scrubs (creams containing beads or shards that are massaged over your skin) or buffs and cloths. Both are designed to rub dead skin cells off the outer layer of skin. This type of exfoliation can agitate blemishes by breaking open the sores and spreading the oils and bacteria and creating more breakouts. Chemical exfoliation removes dead skin cells gently, preventing bacteria and oils from getting trapped in the pores and forming blemishes. We use salicylic acid (a gentle beta hydroxy acid) and seamollient in our clarifying oil-free treatment line to gently exfoliate without spreading infection to help reduce breakouts.
Can I use the clarifying oil-free treatment line if only a few areas on my face get oily?
If your complexion only gets oily in a few areas, such as the forehead, nose, and chin, then you're in the majority. Over 70% of people have combination skin. Areas with typically fewer oil glands, such as your cheeks and around the mouth and eye areas, may feel tight and dry. It is a good idea to treat these areas with different products designed to target your specific concerns for each area. Our Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask is formulated gentle enough that it won't irritate drier areas, but contains enough anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties to prevent and reduce breakouts in oily areas. Our Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum should be selectively applied to oilier areas only.
My skin only feels oily a few months out of the year. Why should I change my usual routine?
It's a common mistake to believe we live with one skin type our entire lives. The key to beautiful skin year round is to adapt your routine to inevitable changes. You should expect your skin to change often throughout the year because of hormonal fluctuations, weather, and changing external conditions. Glands produce more oil especially during the summer months. If you notice more surface shine or start experiencing breakouts, treat it accordingly. Pay attention to how your skin reacts to internal and external factors. Incorporate the Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum and Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask during these months to prevent potential breakouts and keep skin looking its best.
Will the Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum reduce the size of my pores?
It may help reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. The size of your pores depends largely on age, how well you've taken care of your skin, and how much oil your skin produces. Enlarged pores are a result of UV damage (pores have the same collagen and elastin structure as the rest of your skin), and trapped oil and debris under dead skin cells which force pore walls to expand. Once your pores become enlarged they can't shrink back to the original size, but you can reduce their appearance. Excess oil magnifies pores. Our Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule Serum is designed to help regulate oil flow, thereby helping to reduce the appearance of pores. We also highly recommend incorporating the Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask up to three days a week to help exfoliate and clear out debris that make pores appear larger.

What gives the dermocapsule its white color?
We don’t use any unnatural dyes in our skincare products. Each dermocapsule is composed of a natural substance to give it a unique color. The dermocapsules in our Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum are made up of pearl extract. Its composition of amino acids and skin healthy minerals promotes new cell growth and improves smoothness and elasticity as it helps protects against UV radiation.
Why is the Moisturizing Dermocapsule™ Serum so effective?
We understand skin and know how important it is to provide you with the moisturizing ingredients, vitamins, and antioxidants necessary to neutralize free radicals and protect cellular proteins and lipids from damage. We tap into nature and science to include the most effective ingredients to address core issues behind your skin concerns, and utilize a unique delivery system that allows the ingredients to penetrate deeper into your skin. This combination of quality ingredients and a targeted delivery system allows us to treat your concerns on the outer most layers, and help address damage to your skin's moisture barrier and at the deeper level.
Are some people born with naturally dry skin?
There are serious dry skin disorders that are inherited, but ordinary dry skin affecting the majority of people is the result of natural processes such as fewer sebaceous gland oil production as we age, and environmental factors. But dry skin is not inevitable, and is a serious sign of damage. It's also a huge contributing factor to signs of aging and damage to skin cells.
What are the signs of dry skin as a result of age and environmental factors?
Anyone experiencing this form of dry skin is susceptible to numerous symptoms. You may only experience one or two of these symptoms or you may experience all of them. Even the severity varies depending on the extent you expose your skin to the elements, or how well you treat the symptoms. You may experience:
• Taut or tight feeling skin (especially after washing)
• Dehydrated cells that no longer appear plump and healthy
• Slight or severe flaking
• Rough skin texture
• Itching
• Fine lines
• Redness
How do I know if my skin is dry or just dehydrated?
That's a great question; because you may be experiencing some of the symptoms listed above but not have dry skin. If your skin is dry, your sebaceous glands have stopped producing oil. Following are a few questions to ask yourself. Your answers to these questions can help determine the best products for you to use.
Do I notice shine anywhere on my skin throughout the day?
If you notice shine on areas of your skin as the day progresses, your skin isn't dry. This doesn't mean you don't need to moisturize it, but you do need to make sure the products are lightweight and won't contribute to breakouts.
When does my skin feel dry?
If your skin only feels dry after you've washed it in the morning or night and that feeling of tightness goes away, then you are most likely using products with wax fillers or detergents that strip natural surface oils and leave residues that temporarily make your skin feel dry. Never use bar soap (detergents are used to create the “lathering” effect, and wax fillers are used to give them their solid shape), and try to find fragrance free products.
Do I experience breakouts?
Blemishes are formed when oil, bacteria, and dead skin cells clog pores. Dry skins rarely experience a breakout because the sebaceous glands don't produce enough oil to create a fertile environment for bacteria growth.
Do I only get dry during season changes?
If your skin starts feeling dry in the winter, then external elements are most likely to blame and are dehydrating your skin. The easiest way to determine if your skin is just dehydrated is by using the “push up test”. While standing in front of a mirror, use your hand to push up on one of your cheeks. Does the skin fold and look crepey? If so, then you're dehydrated. Using humectants such as hyaluronic acid and natto gum which are found in our Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum will help draw moisture into the skin so it feels more comfortable.
Can you over moisturize dry skin?
Yes, it's possible to over moisturize especially if you're using heavy creams that may clog pores. More often however people “over-moisturize” because their skin still appears and feels dry and dehydrated. In that case it's more likely that an inferior product is being used and/or skin isn't being primed for optimal absorption with regular exfoliation.
What should I look for in a moisturizing product?
Moisturizing products should repair your skin's natural ability to hold in moisture and not just provide a temporary fix with lubricants. Skin has a natural moisture barrier that keeps internal hydration in and harmful environmental factors out. Over time, skin's natural moisture barrier breaks down and leaves skin vulnerable to environmental damage and dehydration. Antioxidants A & E found in our Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum are vitally important for preventing damage to your skin's moisture barrier. The hydrolized silk repairs the damage so you're able to hold moisture in and keep harmful external factors out.
Why do I get breakouts when I moisturize my dry skin?
You may not have dry skin. Rough texture and dry flakes coupled with oily patches and acne is a common complaint. Because you're noticing and experiencing uncomfortable symptoms of dry skin, it's understandable why you'd classify your skin type as dry. However, dry skin lacks oil. So if you notice shine or feel oily throughout the day, by definition you don't have dry skin. The flakey rough texture is actually dehydrated or dead cells on the outermost layers of your skin. Using a product designed to treat dry instead of oily or combination skin may lead to blemishes. Instead, try oil-free hydration with exfoliating benefits to deflake and rehydrate. Our Clarifying Oil-Controlling Dermocapsule™ Serum and Clarifying Oil-Free Treatment Mask both gently exfoliate and prevent surface cells from drying out and clogging pores.
If your skin is dry, then your choice of products may be the culprit. Most likely blemishes are forming because the moisturizing products you're using are too heavy and contain pore clogging lubricants. Our Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum is lightweight, absorbs quickly without clogging pores, and keeps keratin cells from drying out and contributing to flaking. Humectants, such as hyaluronic acid and natto gum, prevent dehydration without triggering breakouts, and seamollient exfoliates dead skin cells for smooth healthy skin.
What causes dehydration?
A number of factors contribute to dehydrated skin. Increasing internal hydration is important, but equally important is repairing the barrier function of your skin. Your skin has a natural moisture barrier that keeps internal hydration in and harmful environmental factors out. When your skin is exposed to too many harmful external elements such as UV and free radicals from pollution, your skin's barrier breaks down and allows harmful elements to damage skin and moisture to escape. In order to properly treat dry and dehydrated skin you can't merely treat the skin's surface. You need to get effective ingredients into a deeper level. The lipid barrier has been compromised. Moisturizers alone can't address this barrier dysfunction. The hydrolized silk found in our Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum helps to repair the damage so you're able to hold moisture in, and antioxidants A & E are vitally important for preventing further damage to the moisture barrier in your skin.
Isn't internal hydration more important than external hydration?
Increasing internal hydration is important, but equally important is repairing the barrier function of your skin. Drinking adequate amounts of water is essential to beautiful skin, but drinking gallons of water is not going to eliminate dry flakey patches on the skin's surface. Only topical products can fix surface problems. This doesn't mean however that you shouldn't drink the recommended amount of water daily. Internal hydration flushes toxins and improves organ function which is important for healthy skin. When your body lacks hydration, your cells will draw water from the bloodstream. Your blood thickens and your heart is forced to work harder. Your body then redirects blood away from less vital areas like your skin when this happens. We recommend you drink the recommended 8 eight-ounce glasses of water each day for healthy circulation, and apply daily topical hydration such as our Moisturizing Dermocapsule™ Serum for soft and smooth skin.
How does a liposome work?
A liposome is a microscopic lipid sphere, originally developed by the pharmaceutical industry to transport cancer fighting medications directly to targeted cancer cells. We use this same technology to carry Vitamin A & E deep into your skin. Skin maintains a barrier to its deeper layers, but liposomes are transported in membranes made from lecithin which mimics the body's own blood fluids allowing the ingredients to travel through the skin with unparalleled efficiency. The liposomes also gradually release the antioxidants and nutrients over an extended period of time providing maximum protection and benefits.
Vitamin A increases skin elasticity, normalizes dry, parched skin and promotes healthy looking skin. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant for protection against free radicals, and moisturizes the skin from within. It also soothes and aids in tissue repair and enhances skin smoothness. Using a liposome delivery system is the most effective way to maintain the integrity of these powerful antioxidants while delivering them to skin cells. The liposome travels undisturbed through the skin carrying the vitamins between the membrane layers and is time released to be dispersed directly into the targeted areas of the skin. Use our Dermocapsule Moisturizing Serum with Vitamin A & E liposomes to increase hydration and improve softness.
What is a humectant?
Humectants attract water when applied to skin to provide immediate relief and plump skin naturally. Sodium hyaluronate, aka hyaluronic acid, is a powerful humectant. As we get older, the amount of hyaluronic acid naturally produced in our skin lessens and is one reason why aging skin becomes less resilient. Applying sodium hyaluronate to the surface of your skin is the best way to reap its benefits. One molecule holds 1000 times its weight in water and helps pull moisture from the air into your skin. Our Moisturizing Dermocapsule Serum combined this powerful humectant with additional moisturizing agents to create a lightweight effective moisturizing serum. To get the most out of this humectant enriched serum, we recommend applying it to warm damp skin and layering an additional moisturizer over the top. Because humectants rely on moisture in the air to function properly and draw the moisture into your skin to plump and rehydrate, we recommend you also apply a light mist or spritz of water throughout the day if the climate or air is especially dry.
